in the dream

Ourobus

Some years back before the oil wars and the Y2K collapse, under the collective unconscious inspiration of Voke, Mode, and Stain, a unity was formed under the title IN THE DREAM.

In a prior incarnation known as THE CONCRETE POETS a pathway was discovered: Art and expression cultivated from the unconscious mind could be used therapeutically to connect one with the inner self.

[Sounds like a load of horseshit, but after practical and scientific tests the results all came back positive].

Currently, IN THE DREAM is developing blueprints for future urban dream scape renderings
this year and beyond.
Daver and Metasin

This is from a legal wall in Catonsville, MD around 1999 I think. Just scanned this one in after finding this photo in a box tonight. It was a great piece. Wish I had a better photo.

And there ya have it folks. The party’s over.

You take 87 North and get off around Exit 23. That’s how we wound up here, invited of course by the good folks of 518 Prints. Sometime during the night we wound up in a train yard.  Good times. More photos tomorrow.

Here’s a few more. Old brown yonder.

Corn, Hot Dogs, and Chevrolet: Last night we finished up the big wall in Bushwick after a 5 day stint. While looking at these pictures try to call to mind the smell of human shit, piss, and trash on a hot summer night. Thanks to the folks at Factory Fresh and Kevin for stopping by on his motorcycle to take pics. Hell yes we cheated! Onward to Albany!

Day 2: Building the layers. Photos by KC

Summer tour started last night in Bushwick. The wall is 25’ x 200’. Bill broke out the paint sprayer to cover some ground. Stay tuned for updates on this wall and the rest of the tour.

More to come.

I was having a hard time getting the hang of doing gestures. Sometimes I’d go over to Bills or Pat would stop by to help me loosen up. This is from a 60 second gesture that Pat did to show me the ropes. From the Stain archives.1991.
